While there has been no official confirmation of a launch date, or pricing structure . Tucked in this month’s Sky Magazine, there was a brief article saying that the collaboration is due to happen in October.
There was a website listed to register interest and shows the features of the player – www.sky.com/xbox360.
The article also details the requirements for the service – users will need an Xbox Live Gold account to access Sky Player, with expanded (ie more expensive) subscription options available to watch ‘premium content’ such as Premier League football and movies.
Pricing is currently a mystery, but no doubt details will start to emerge over the next couple of weeks.
